Growing a Healthier Urban Canopy Together
Rooted For-Us-Tree is a local nonprofit dedicated to educating communities, planting trees, and providing accessible tree care for those who need it most. Our work strengthens neighborhoods, improves safety, and ensures future generations inherit a greener, healthier place to live.
How We Serve the Community
Community Tree Planting
We plant trees where they’re needed most — including low-income neighborhoods, schools, and shared public spaces
-
Free tree planting for qualifying homeowners
-
Partnerships with nonprofits and local organizations
-
Support for school arboretums and community green spaces
-
Thoughtful tree selection based on soil, location, and long-term health
Our goal is to expand the urban canopy in a way that lasts for generations.
Accessible Tree Care for Safety & Sustainability
Professional tree care is essential — but often expensive. We provide low- or no-cost services to community members who would otherwise go without.
Services Include;
-
Hazardous tree pruning or removal
-
Preventative maintenance to extend tree life
-
Safety-focused care for homes, parks, and gathering spaces
By caring for existing trees, we protect people, property, and the long-term health of our urban forest.
Education that Empowers
Education is the foundation of lasting environmental impact. Rooted For-Us-Tree offers free, hands-on learning opportunities for all ages.
Educational programs include: Tree planting basics, tree an shrub pruning workshops, species identification walks, invasive species awareness, fruit tree care & sustainable food production.
We partner with:
-

-

-
Local nonprofits and youth organizations
Empowering people to take a proactive approach and be stewards, not participants.
